Emission targets are forcing airports to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The electrification of tarmac vehicles plays an important role in meeting these regulations. The battery electric solution provided by Medha will be powering 40 tarmac buses in Bangalore airport of which 9 are already in operation
Medha has designed, manufactured, and integrated a complete battery-electric powertrain kit, including battery storage and management units, for 9 new Greenco intercity coaches as part of a 100 bus contract. With 91 buses currently under construction, the initial 9 buses have already been successfully placed into operation.
Medha group successfully delivered complete drive systems for Nesobus hydrogen buses in the year 2022, powering a new era of sustainable transportation. The Hydrogen buses are successfully operational for over 2 years.
In 2021, Medha’s group company Enika successfully delivered a complete drive system for the first prototype of the Autosan Sancity 12 m Low Floor Hydrogen Bus. Equipped with a central engine, the powertrain was fully integrated into the bus body by Medha, showcasing seamless engineering and innovation.
Medha has successfully converted a wide range of diesel buses in various configurations, including rear-engine and front-engine models, to zero-emission battery-electric vehicles. These conversions have delivered significant benefits in terms of emissions reduction, lower operating costs, and reduced maintenance expenses.
The Deccan Auto diesel bus featured in this case study has logged over 50,000 km in passenger service, achieving an average power consumption rate of approximately 1 kWh per km.
