Medha’s Single Section Digital Axle Counter (SSDAC) is a CENELEC SIL4 Certified reliable solution that addresses the limitations of traditional track circuits, particularly in challenging conditions such as waterlogged or flooded areas, metal bridges, extended block sections, yards with inadequate shunting lines, high electro-magnetic interference environments, tunnels, regions with extreme temperatures, and complex station layouts.
Key Features
- Modern Architecture: Built on a robust 2oo2 (Two-out-of-Two) fault tolerant architecture.
- Multi-Point Detection: Capable of monitoring 2 or 3 detection points.
- Accurate Axle Counting: Counts and compares axles entering and exiting the section, confirming whether the last car has cleared the section.
- Seamless Integration: Provides real-time section occupancy data for the signalling system, ensuring safe train operations.
- Wheel diameters: 380 mm to 1092 mm
- Wheel speed: Up to 300 km/h
- Sleepers: Wood, Steel, Concrete, Composite
- Ingress protection: IP68
Configurations
- 1DP-1S: Single detection point, single section – ideal for sidings.
- 2DP-1S: Two detection points, single section – suited for straight-line sections.
- 3DP-1S: Three detection points, single section – designed for point zones.
- 3DP-2S/AS: Three detection points, configured for two consecutive sections or auto-section in straight-line layouts.
