Mainline Electric Multiple Units (MEMUs) are a type of EMU designed for operation on mainline tracks, primarily to connect city centers with suburban areas. MEMUs are optimized for short- to medium-distance routes with high passenger volumes and frequent stops, offering efficient transport solutions for heavily trafficked regions.
Medha has collaborated in the new build of 115 Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU), each train consist comprising of 8 coaches each. Medha MEMU’s have 968kW power per motor coach and can operate up to a a speed of 110 km/h.
