Medha has successfully converted a wide range of diesel buses in various configurations, including rear-engine and front-engine models, to zero-emission battery-electric vehicles. These conversions have delivered significant benefits in terms of emissions reduction, lower operating costs, and reduced maintenance expenses.
The Deccan Auto diesel bus featured in this case study has logged over 50,000 km in passenger service, achieving an average power consumption rate of approximately 1 kWh per km.
Medha has designed, manufactured, and integrated a complete turnkey battery electric powertrain and energy storage system for the Volvo Eicher Battery Electric truck, with a gross vehicle weight of 35 metric tonnes. Medha’s scope involved the design, manufacturing and integration of complete electric powertrain and energy storage kit, and mining trials. The battery electric kit consist of PMSM motor with 6-speed heavy duty gearbox, Inverter, Vehicle Control Unit, Onboard diagnostics unit, Auxiliary system and battery pack with battery management and thermal management system. Vehicle integration and mining trials have been successfully completed.

Medha has successfully converted an existing 70 t mining truck to battery electric by performing essential mechanical modifications and integrating a turnkey battery-electric powertrain and energy storage system. Vehicle integration and mining trials have been successfully completed. Converting existing vehicles offers a swift pathway to decarbonization, extending asset lifespan, and minimizing waste by repurposing valuable equipment.

Medha’s Enika brand SPANT Pantograph Station is an advanced, high-power fast-charging solution designed for electric buses equipped with various pantograph types, such as Ride and Charge or Schunk. Directly powered by a 3 x 400 V industrial network, the SPANT station is constructed for durable outdoor use and comprises a power supply cabinet along with a mast or girder featuring integrated switchgear and a docking station. This case study showcases Medha’s Enika pantograph charging station, strategically located outside the Lublin train station in Poland, providing efficient, reliable charging for continuous electric bus operations.
This case study features the deployment of advanced 120 kW depot chargers in Częstochowa, Poland. Equipped with dual dispensers and satellite charging capability, these chargers are designed for scalability and can be upgraded to 300 kW to meet higher power demands.
Medha Enika has manufactured and delivered ENI-LZ400 charging stations to Zakrzew Municipality, offering flexible charging options with both dual-output and single-output configurations. The dual-output stations provide 2×60 kW of power, allowing simultaneous charging of two vehicles, while the single-output stations deliver 1×120 kW, ideal for faster, high-capacity charging. These installations are part of Medha’s commitment to providing adaptable, efficient charging solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of modern public transit networks.
