Medha has designed, manufactured, and integrated a complete turnkey battery-electric powertrain and energy storage system for the Volvo Eicher Battery Electric truck, with a gross vehicle weight of 35 t. Medha’s scope encompassed the design, manufacturing, and integration of the full electric powertrain and energy storage kit, as well as conducting mining trials. The battery-electric kit includes a PMSM motor paired with a 6-speed heavy-duty gearbox, an inverter, vehicle control unit, onboard diagnostics, auxiliary systems, and a battery pack with integrated battery and thermal management systems. Vehicle integration and mining trials have been successfully completed.
