Ultra Haul Trucks

Medha focuses exclusively on zero-emission vehicles only in the mining sector. Haul trucks that operate in a surface mine to carry ore, coal, overburden can be broadly classified as per below from a Battery Electric Conversion perspective. Haul trucks: 90 M.tonnes to approx. 136 M.Tonnes having Diesel mechanical propulsion : 136 M. Tonnes to 275 M. Tonnes having Diesel electric propulsion Ultra haul trucks: 275 M. Tonnes and above having Diesel electric propulsion Medha’s electric powertrain and energy storage system kit caters to the full spectrum of sizes and capacity of the above mining vehicles. In the case of conversion of an existing haul truck, For a Diesel-Mechanical propulsion both diesel power source and mechanical shaft will be replaced while undergoing Battery Electric Conversion. The heavier Haul trucks having Diesel-Electric propulsion are similar to the Diesel-Electric locomotives and thus the Battery Electric conversion follows a similar approach as well. The traction motors can be retained or changed to new AC motors, and Diesel power source will be replaced with batteries and associated control system We customize the zero-emission conversion to bespoke needs of the customer.
